A Radical Proposal

If you’re like me, the word “stewardship” conjures up images of fundraising, church offerings and sermons most people would rather skip in favor of an extra hour of sleep. But in the Bible stewardship simply means taking good care of God’s stuff. And let’s face it, it’s all God’s stuff. And he’s very clear about how we’re to take care of it. I gotta be honest with you, I don’t have this stewardship thing all figured out. And I’m certainly not the best steward of God’s stuff I know. But I do want to learn how to move toward better stewardship. Why? Well, think of the impact you and I could make on the world if we made a habit of being the radical stewards God wants us to be. So here’s the deal. How about you and me getting together from time to time for just a few minutes on this blog and together see what we can learn about stewardship. Maybe we’ll both learn some practical principles about how God wants us to take care of the treasures he’s entrusted us with. And just maybe we can change the world…one treasure at a time.
